About steek.ai
steek.ai is an AI-visibility analytics product built by BSI OÜ, an Estonian (EU) private limited company. It measures how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews mention and recommend a brand — and it reports every one of those numbers with a confidence interval, because AI answers are noisy and a single confident-looking figure is a lie of omission. We are EU-hosted, GDPR-aligned, and built for small businesses and online stores rather than enterprise marketing departments.
The short version
- Who: BSI OÜ, an Estonian private limited company (OÜ), operating steek.ai.

- The rule: every metric carries a 95% confidence interval, and we never fabricate data.
- For whom: small businesses and ecommerce, not enterprise marketing orgs.

We are deliberately not going to pad this page. steek is a young product, and you will not find invented customer counts, a fabricated founding myth, a fake team page or a wall of testimonials here — for the same reason you will not find a vanity metric in the product. When we have something real to report, we will report it, with its uncertainty attached.
Why we built it
People stopped scrolling ten blue links and started asking an assistant what to buy. If ChatGPT or Google's AI Overview names a competitor instead of you, you never see the lost customer — there is no missing click to spot in your analytics. Measuring that shift was, until recently, an enterprise purchase: the tools built for it start somewhere between $29 and $699/mo, several hide their pricing behind a demo, and almost all of them are sold to marketing teams rather than to the businesses AI is quietly rerouting customers away from.
So we built the version a small business or a single store could actually buy, and we priced it flat with every engine included. The longer version of that argument is in why we built steek honestly, and the price comparison that motivated it is in our 2026 price teardown.
What we believe
- Confidence intervals over vanity metrics. AI visibility is a moving target — re-ask the same question and a different set of sources can surface. A single point estimate hides that and invites you to chase sampling noise. Every steek metric carries a 95% interval instead.
- No fabricated data, anywhere. Every number we publish is either measured by us with its uncertainty attached, or attributed to a named source you can check. We do not invent customer counts, we do not publish reviews or ratings we have not earned — not in our copy and not in our schema markup — and we do not render a rival's demo-gated price as a confident headline figure.
- Built for SMB and ecommerce, not enterprise. That shapes what we build: one-minute onboarding, a plain-language verdict and a single next fix, per-SKU AI Shopping visibility tied to real revenue in GA4 — rather than agent analytics at enterprise prompt volumes.
- EU and GDPR-native. Estonian company, EU hosting, GDPR alignment as the default rather than a paid add-on or a checkbox on an enterprise plan.
- Honest about our limits. steek has no day-one historical index, it is not the right tool for enterprise-scale agent analytics, and several rivals list more named engines than we cover. We say so on our own pricing page.
How we handle your data
The service is hosted in the EU and aligned with the GDPR. We do not sell personal data, and where a sub-processor operates outside the EEA we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses. The specifics — what we process, on what legal basis, how long we keep it, and how to exercise your rights — are set out in our Privacy Policy. Data requests go to privacy@steek.ai; the terms governing use of the service are in our Terms of Service, which are governed by Estonian law.
